Mission
Str8Up Employment NJ, established in 2023, supports youth and families in New Jersey with finding sustainable careers. Our mission is to bridge the gap between access and opportunity for those seeking sustainable employment opportunities. Our staff utilizes evidence based practices to engage youth and families through a EmployMentor approach that highlights their strengths and helps them find meaningful career paths. Grounded in lived experience, we create a supportive environment that promotes resilience and opportunities, transforming challenges into pathways for success and independence.
Vision
The vision of Str8Up Employment Services is to uplift and empower youth and families who are currently or have faced barriers that hinder their access to opportunities. We strive to create a supportive community that enables these individuals to navigate their unique challenges, such as homelessness and food insecurity, by providing tailored resources and opportunities for career development. Through a trauma-informed approach grounded in lived experience, we aim to equip them with the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary to find meaningful employment and achieve lasting independence. Ultimately, we envision a future where every person can transform their circumstances and realize their full potential.
